More Than Performance Rights
Licensing a Viewmark project can include more than permission to perform the work. Depending on the production and agreement, materials may include the script and libretto, musical score, performance tracks or arrangements, production information, marketing assets, and consultation with the creative team. Because Viewmark has produced these works from development through live performance, we understand both the artistic and practical considerations involved in bringing a new musical to the stage.
Developed Through Production
Our projects are not created only on the page. They are developed through research, composition, readings, rehearsals, workshops, performances, audience response, and continued revision. Taking original productions to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe has been an important part of that process. It provides an opportunity to test new work in one of the world's largest performing arts environments while introducing it to audiences, artists, critics, and producers from around the world. Each production returns from that experience stronger, more focused, and better prepared for its next stage.
Licensing, Producing & Partnership Opportunities
Viewmark welcomes inquiries from professional theatres, community theatres, colleges and universities, schools, festivals, presenting organizations, producers, and other performing arts groups interested in presenting or developing our work. Opportunities may include traditional theatrical licensing, educational productions, concert or staged readings, festival presentations, regional premieres, co-productions, and conversations about future commercial or professional development. Rights and materials vary by project, so licensing arrangements are developed around the needs and scope of each production.
